As the founder of BrightKey, Rita sets the tone for a corporate culture of loyalty and caring – building partnerships with staff, clients, and the greater business community. Taking a vital role in identifying market opportunities and ongoing client relations, Rita maintains contact with clients to review project operations, objectives, future goals, and new service offerings. Her passion for marketing extends to the association, commercial, and government sectors. Rita is an avid supporter of animal welfare (local and international) and sits on the board of the SPCA of Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

chief administration officer

Diane has more than 45 years of business management experience across a wide range of disciplines, roles, and responsibilities. As Chief Administration Officer, she applies her expertise in office administration, human resources management, and contracts administration to partner with senior management in maintaining BrightKey’s highest standards of operational efficiency and customer service. Diane has designed, developed, and implemented quality assurance programs to ensure project performance metrics comply with contract service level agreements. She has collaborated with corporate leadership to enhance company-wide communications and promote employee involvement in BrightKey’s diversity and inclusion programs.

Don Dilks
Chief strategic officer

Don joined BrightKey in 2008 to manage and expand the Federal Services Division, and he manages the operations, staffing, cost control, and reporting of all federal contracts. The rapid growth of this BrightKey Division has included high-profile projects in mail management, warehousing, and related support services. In addition, he championed the installation of negative pressure mailroom suites to increase security for the inbound mail process. Don has more than 40 years of experience in the startup and management of large-scale distribution, warehousing, records management, data processing, mail processing, and administrative service contracts.

John mattingly
chief financial officer

John has 40 years of experience in the financial sector, serving as a Chief Financial Officer for most of his career. He brings his astute, conservative yet visionary approach to the management of BrightKey’s financial health. His experience in the government, nonprofit, and commercial arenas has provided him with a wealth of knowledge in different types of costing and financial profitability. As a retired US Naval Commander, he understands the management of all types of individuals at all organizational levels. His direct management style fosters a “can-do,” environment. He manages all financial institution relationships, leasing negotiations and agreements, pricing structure development, and escalation strategies.

Jeffrey agler
Chief information officer

Jeffrey is an experienced and customer focused senior IT and Operations executive passionate about driving results, improving efficiency, and providing world-class customer service. He is a hands-on operations and technology leader supporting rapid organizational growth in demanding and competitive environments. Jeffrey creates value by utilizing cutting edge technologies, analyzing data to guide decision-making, incorporating best practices, and assembling the highest level of talent. He is also a speed to delivery expert in corporate integrations.

The Key Impressions clothing boutique features a wide assortment of gently used, high quality business attire and accessories — helping employees dress for success.

SPCA OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY

Right in our corporate backyard, the AACSPCA has one of the highest lifesaving rates in the US. Their creative programs include Pets for Patriots and more.

Founded in 1920, the AACSPCA has grown to become a strong animal welfare organization. With a consistent four-star rating from Charity Navigator — the AACSPCA outperforms most charities in America.

BrightKey supports the AACSPCA mission to provide vaccines, food, and homes for thousands of pets each year. A fundraising highlight is the annual Lights on the Bay — and BrightKey’s display shines there every year!

House of Ruth

Providing a safe haven for victims of domestic violence, the House of Ruth provides compassionate service to the community.

House of Ruth helps thousands of battered women and their children experience the safety and security that many of us take for granted helping them rebuild their lives safely and free of fear.

From its start in 1977 
as a crisis shelter in Baltimore, House of Ruth now has an 84-bed shelter, transitional housing apartments, and a health clinic staffed by the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing.

Helping to end violence against women!

SHELDRICK WILDLIFE TRUST

BrightKey loves elephants, and Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya operates the world’s most successful orphan elephant rescue program in the world. Rhinos and giraffes also enjoy a safe haven at Sheldrick. But its work doesn’t stop there. It trains and deploys wildlife rangers, provides aerial surveillance to monitor threats to wildlife, and handles an ever-growing set of projects.

With five fully equipped Mobile Veterinary Units, Sheldrick has handled nearly 7,500 cases in critical conservation areas throughout Kenya. Their rapid  response Sky Vets team allows them to speed to the aid of any distressed, injured, or sick wild animal in need.
